Plain Sight
This was painted in acrylic on wood panel. I painted a digital color sketch of it some time ago to work out color and composition. I think it’s appropriate that it becomes my last post of 2024. The title, Plain Sight, is inspired by the confident attitude shown on the face. Which is how I’m feeling about 2025.
Happy New Year!
The Christmas Decoration 9.5” X 7.25” Oil on Gessoed Paper.
The Christmas Decoration
This is some sort of Christmas thingy. I had to glue it at one point because I may have dropped it. Thankfully, the broken piece allegedly happened on the bottom part just below the upside down flowerpot piece… All is good.

Toward The Horizon
It would be difficult not to find inspiration in the indelible imagery of our past. This is my take on one such impression.
Desert Royalty 8.5 X 6.25” Oil on panel
Desert Royalty
This is one of my favorite neighbors—I see it every day. Every now and again I'm fortunate enough to catch it just as the sun finds it.

The Mountain Oyster Club’s 55th Annual Contemporary Western Art Show
My new painting, Arlo, will be showcased in The Mountain Oyster Club’s 55th Annual Contemporary Western Art Show and Sale on Sunday, November 24, 2024. The historic setting of the Pond Mansion is a beautiful venue. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the show. Stop by and say hello.
Egon
Egon/mixed media. This piece is literally the result of looking at something with fresh eyes. I came across a sketch I did of a rooster some months ago but never went any further with. Upon seeing it again I thought, “hmm.” And spent the rest of the day following that hmm. Well, before I knew it, most of the day had gone by and I didn’t get to what I planned to get to. Honestly, I didn’t mind the diversion.
