My
publisher recently informed me that my latest book “Junk Man’s
Daughter” is on The Bank Street College of Education’s “Best
Children’s Books of the Year” list for 2007. This is a publication
that comes out in book form every year highlighting the best children’s
books of the year. "The Committee reviews over 4000 titles each year
for accuracy and literary quality and considers their emotional impact on
children. It chooses the best 600 books, both fiction and nonfiction, which
it lists according to age and category."
